Nathaniel(le) Hendrickson

These videos are fragments from a hybrid form of cinema and theatre titled g.r.a.n.a.d.i.l.l.a.s. The project began in 2019 in a collective of four women writing their experience and chronicles stories, both personal and collective, of trauma and the difficulties growing up female in a colonial and patriarchal society. Initiated at the height of the pandemic in 2020, the video elements staged re-enactments of stories as performance interventions and community theatre in a small town on the Pacific coast of Ecuador.
